What are the reasons that affect the quality of aluminum alloy die-casting molds? For aluminum alloy die-casting suppliers, it is important to make a set of high-quality die-casting molds. Why does Yurun produce good quality while some manufacturers cannot? Here are some reasons to share with you:
 
1. Clear appearance of the mold
 
The nameplate content is complete, the characters are clear, and arranged neatly. There should be no dents, rust, excess lifting rings, water vapor, oil holes, or defects that affect the appearance on the surface.
 
2. The appearance and size of the mold are qualified
 
The surface of the mold has no defects, no fusion marks, and the surface unevenness is less than 0.3mm. There are no air marks, patterns, or bubbles. The dimensional accuracy should meet the requirements of formal and valid mold drawings (or 3D files), and the surface misalignment should be less than 0.1mm
 
3. Cooling system for molds
 
The cooling or heating system should be fully unobstructed. The water and oil flow channel spacers should be made of materials that are not easily corroded.
 
4. Materials and hardness
 
The supplier of aluminum alloy die-casting on the formed surface should take anti-corrosion measures. The hardness of molded parts should not be lower than 50HRC, or the hardness of surface hardening treatment should be higher than 600HV.
 
5. Parting surface
 
The surface of the front and rear molds should not have any unevenness, pits, rust or other defects that affect the appearance. The inlay block should be matched with the mold frame, and there should be a gap of less than 1mm around the rounded corners.
 
6. Pouring system
 
The gate setting should not affect the appearance of the product and meet the requirements of product assembly. The cross-section and length of the flow channel should be designed reasonably, and the process should be shortened as much as possible while ensuring the forming quality. The cross-sectional area should be reduced to shorten the filling and cooling time.
 
7. Storage and maintenance
 
Aluminum alloy die-casting suppliers should promptly clean and spray rust proof oil on the mold cavity. Sealing measures should be taken for the inlet and outlet of mold water, liquid, gas, and electricity to prevent foreign objects from entering. Mold product drawings, structural drawings, cooling and heating system drawings, hot runner drawings, spare parts and mold material supplier details, user manuals, mold testing reports, factory inspection certificates, and electronic documents should all be complete.
